The Building Industry Association of South Central Ohio (BIASCO) has announced the 2010 Southern Ohio Home and Garden Show will be held Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ross County Fairgrounds.  The show, sponsored by Accurate Heating and Cooling and Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems, will feature demonstrations, giveaways, and more than 100 indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Columbus TV station NBC4 Garden Expert Tom McNutt, presented by Klinker's Lumber & Builder's Supplies, takes the Demonstration Stage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.  Tom will also hold a book-signing event for his new book "Tom's (Green) Thumb...Advice to grow on in a (Mc)Nutt shell."

 


Live animals from the Columbus Zoo will be at the Demonstration Stage at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The Columbus Zoo staff will offer fun facts about the animals, and how they stay happy and healthy at the zoo.

                                                     

 

 

Kit Bucy, 2010 Home and Garden Show Co-chair, said, "This year's show has something of interest for the entire family.  From outdoor gardens to indoor projects, money-saving ideas, demonstrations and special guests.  We have it all."

 


Ross County Sheriff's Department Deputy Daren will arrive at the Southern Ohio Home & Garden Show. Deputy Daren represents the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, which is a collaborative effort of D.A.R.E. certified law enforcement officers, educators, students, parents and the community. The program offers an educational program in local classrooms to prevent or reduce drug abuse and violence among children and youth. See the complete schedule for times.
